This is a great example of a non-traditional mandolin. Honduras mahogany back and side and Lutz spruce top. Head plate, fingerboard, bridge and tail piece cover are ebony. To finish it off we installed a very nice set of solid brass Rubner tuning machines.
An Octave mandolin in the form of a parlor guitar. With a 23" scale length it rings with a deep full tone. Low action and a 1 1/2 nut width makes this mandolin a dream to play.
Black walnut back, sides and neck, paired with a sitka spruce top. Head plate, fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. A simple, clean satin finish to tie up this unique instrument.
